I came across this today on my "Wit & Wisdom of Fishing" perpetual calendar and found it somewhat amuesing, so I thought I would share it with you all.
"If you are ice fishing in zero-degree weather, and it's supposed to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold will it be?"

Howdy-
I'll bet it's cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey!

Simple mind, simple answer. Zero twice (X's 2) is zero but I like outdooralex's answer best.

OK my guess is -32.08 F
How I got that was 0 F = -17.8 C
-17.8 x 2 = -35.6 C
the conversion from C to F is 9/5 x c +32
so -35.6 x 9 = -320.4 divided by 5 = -64.08 + 32 = -32.08 F

tatoo Mike,
you have way too much time. Great answer though...I am kind of a mathematically minded person myself. Can relate totally. I still think you have too many math books in your home library

To get the answer you would need to know at what temperature it stops being warm and it starts being cold...scientifically I dont know what temp that is, however I feel the ideal temperature without wind is 68*F....so.....twice as cold would be -68*f!!!!!!!!

0 fahrenheit = -17.78 celcius
2x-17.78=-35.56celcius
-35.56 celcius=-32 fahrenheit
