Where would you go???

If you had a choice to river fish by shore or wading where would you go?

To Ohio to fish the Maumee for walleye...(any other river S. of Detroit or Detroit River)

or

saginaw river to fish for walleye(can you even fish from shore or wade here?)

I live pretty much in between both.

If you know or think I would have a better chance somewhere else please enlighten me. I would like to get out this weekend. Driving isn't really an issue because I'm going to go regardless...Somewhere preferrably within 2 hours of Waterford, MI. Looking to catch some walleye out of the rivers, never done it before. Heck, if anybody wants some company on thier boat let me know, lol.

There are plenty of places to fish the Saginaw from shore. They may not be as productive as boat fishing, but you can still get fish. I hope you're talking about once the season re-opens, because if you think you're gonna fish the Saginaw River before the season closes, you are sadly mistaken. It's as fast, high and muddy as I've seen it in a while. And most times when we get floods, Flint dumps sewage in the river, though I haven't heard anything about it now.

Ahh, thats right, the walleye season ends March 15th!! Thanks for the reminder. That's why people go to Ohio.
