I persomally use a brand that is made locally, Two of them would be from Dick Mason of mason Lures, or Mike Hurly of Lockness Lures. I will make a couple calls and see if I can put you on some, cost is around 10 releases for $20.00.

We use the OffShore heavy duties (I think they're orange). Tried the black ones but they released too easily trying to pull those heavy lures at the high speeds.

I have only found one release that is strong enough to hold musky lures. I believe it is made by Off Shore. I only have a few due to the high cost. I would also be interested in purchasing some if possible.

I buy the white Offshore releases and drill out the rivet and add a second spring. I then reconnect them by using a small bolt and nut to replace the drilled out rivet. Works pretty good! :)

I buy the ratcheting stacker releases, cut one side free and crimp a snap on it. Two releases for barely more than the price of one individually.
the beauty of the ratcheting releases is that you dont need to carry a bunch of different releases around. between the ratchet and where you put the line in the jaws you can set the tension from ultra light finiky walleye, up through the tension to bounce body bait off the bottom while dragging the boards on the beach for spring browns, up to the extreme tension of pulling the magnum muskie baits at a good clip.

I use off shore and other releases as well. If I find they release too easily I add a small rubber band wrapping it three or four times. In a pinch I've even used walleye releases with this method.
