Hey guys: What ramps are open on the Detroit and St. Clair Rivers?

Let's keep this message up until April !, when Elizabeth Park usually puts its ramps in. -- Old Dave, Itchin' and Wishin' to be Fishin'!:help:

What size of boat your putting in? Ramps at Alter rd. have been in all year. Exit the docks left when you get to the "T" make a right then a left at the next "T" 3' to 4 foot .

I've got a 16 ft Lund Rebel. I never thought about the Alter Road ramp, although I used to rent STEEL (not aluminum) rowboats there more than 50 years ago! I'm sure it is deep enough for my boat but I need a Geezer-friendly dock, too. I am 69 going on 80. My fishing buddy and I were thinking about getting out Friday the 16th. Whaddya think? Can I step down into the boat there? -- Old Dave, Still Trying After All These Years :fish2:

Yes the dock is easy to step in *not as easy as Saint Jean. put the boat in on the drivers side as you back in. If you go, don't go the short way. (under the bridge) Take the long way around. Also be sure to stay in the center the sides are shallow with mud. Bring a paddle in case you miss center.
