Like I said a week ago. Bare with me on the web thing. The only way I could figure out how to post a pic of today's catch was to change my AVATAR. So here it is. We put a 3 man limit of perch in the boat today, and threw back about 60 dinks. Keepers were 9" to 11" Great day for perch. I started out walley fishing the warm water discharge. Got a call from some buds and picked them up on the dock to go after some perch. No ice in sight. Looks like we will not see any until next year. The walleye's are still a week maybe two away but perch are plentiful, and will get better over the next week...........Please someone PM me or explain on the post how to post the pics of the days catch on the new thread or current thread. Thanks.

Couple of questions here.
How did you get the other pics in your gallery? and not this one? Also, how did you get that one in your avatar and not your gallery?

great job on the perch, Homie. what was the rig of choice you were using? thanks....:fish:........Nothing special. Two guys useing red beeded spreaders. When able I use just a single hook and split shot, no color beeds. Just a minnow. The trick was to keep it moveing. We are heading out again now. I will try the photo gallery and then put the pics on the thread later. Thanks for the help with the Pics.

What time of day have you been going out? Where have you been hitting them. My son and I have been out the last 2 weekends and not even a bite. I assume that we are getting out to late.
Thanks for the info.

http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/photopost/data/533/medium/100_0446resized.jpg.......We smacked em good again!!! Seen some guys from the crossdyke had bigger fish than ours. Said they were hammering them. To answer all the questions about where the hot spots are. For the guys just starting out fish the marinas and the canals. You can not be afraid to move around. Can't wait for the walleye!!! But the perch this year are some of the biggest I've seen come from the River. Can't amagine what the lake will be like this year. WOW!!! Take alot of minnows.

Dang, i really wish we would've move closer to the crowd that day!!! Sunday, man, we missed out, that was the most perfect fishing conditions you will ever see other than the fog. We seen them catching them, we also seen them nailing them at the Ford Yacht club. But, just was one of those days, the one day EVERYONE catches a meal, we get skunked...when it is usually reversed. That was the first time we came away without a meal in many, many years, in fact, i can't remember the last day we didn't get at least 10 keepers in the river.
We also wasted time going for pike, when we could've got into the spot before the 50 million boats packed compactly into it. THIS weekend, it will look like walleye jigging in mid April there. The eyes aren't in, and everyone will flock for the perch.

But the $50000 question is.....Will the perch be there!!!:D
