Looking for a sled with a collapsable windbreak. Anyone know where to get plans. or one already made. You're right about the price on that sled. Probably why there aren't any bids on it. Thanks

I would also like to find a design of a sled with a windbreak. Ive searched the net for a while with no results. Somebody must have a decent idea for one.

Take a kid's wooden sled with metal runners, buy a 1/2" sheet of plywood...cut to approx 4'x6'...cut into 3 sections, one 3', the others 1.5 ft...bolt the 3' section to the sled, attach the others to the side with hinges, it folds down for towing, to fish set it up on its rear end and fold the sides out....when its folded down you can put some slots on the top sec to hold a couple milk crates, use bungee cords to hold auger, etc...

HEY GUYS,
FRABILL MADE A YELLOW PLASTIC SLED THAT HOLD A BUCKET UP FRONT AND HAS A WIND BREAK. THE WINDBREAK ROLLS UP, AND IS STORED INSIDE. THERE IS ROOM FOR EVERTHING YOU NEED OR THINK YOU NEED INSIDE THE BODY OF THE SLED. I ADDED A WOODEN SUPPORT AT THE FRONT AND REAR, TO HOLD THE GAS AUGER. SEEN A FEW ON EBAY.

I built one using a broken plastic skid from work, some old ski's I picked up on garbage day, and two milk crates. Really light weight and fits in a two man portable Shappel shanty. Have been able to pull it behind the 4 wheeler with two adults riding on it, and pull the kids out or in by hand when they get tired of walking. Really light weight and haven't been able to tip it over in three years. A couple of bungee cords can hold the auger or buckets between the milk crates and have used a sheet of cardboard for a wind break when I'm alone and want to move around alot. Just need a van to haul it in.

I bought a Jet Sled Jr and customized it. I put a plastic cooler in the midde and screwed it in. The cooler is rigged with a pump thaqt circulates water to keep our minnows fresh! I mounted a swivel boat seat to the top of the cooler to sit on and mounted my flasher to the corner. I have storage in front and in back of the cooler for rods and tipups. This unit is very light for pulling and is just as comfortable as ice fishing should be. Bets of all it all cost about $60.

eyes,

Thanks for the two sites you sent. Most are for 2man and bigger. I'm looking for a single seat sled to hold gear, and auger, and have a wind break that can be stored inside.

Hey Walleye Magnet I'll stick with my 2 man Clam with my heater and coolerin it, it's warmer.
I pick up my blades tonight and my son and I are planning to hit Metro's boat basin on Wednesday morning. Look for a blue clam with an orange "K" on it.
