does anyone know if the ice is out at the d.n.r. launch next to blue water bait? anyone been perchin around there yet?

Ice is out, I was there yesterday. Not fishing though.

ice is out but you can't launch yet. gotta go around to the dnr launch at deckers. The lake is poop now with one small area by the sisters that looks somewhat clean. the river is mud and won't be long b4 its all dirt.

Why not?

Most of us could not launch at the site next to the Clinton River Spillway because of all the muck, mud, weeds, and debris blown up against the ramp. Has to be up to 2 feet thick in spots.

But, why can't we launch at the Fair Haven site?

ice is out of the bay but not in front of the launch as of Sunday evening. Monday it should be gone. Only clear water is out to south east shore line of the bay but didn't have any luck on the perch. The river on the canuck side is clean now so it won't be long and the lake will clean up.

Stopped by Sunday morning to see what was what. The ice was mostly slush and small pieces all pushed up against the base of the ramp. Easy enough to push out of the way when launching.

Most of the fishing seemed to be on the river so that might be why there were no trailers parked in the ramp later that morning.

The Black River at Port Huron is a nasty brown that is spewing into the SC River. I'm sure all the Rivers South of PH are the same right now. The water dumping into the Bay will be dirty for quite a while I would guess.
