Hey Guys,
Who has the best ranges in MI? Three categories; Paper, 3D, Video. Just an informal survey. My brother in law and I are looking for great ranges that we haven't visited yet.

I think Tuscola County Archers has the best 3-D courses. I think they have shoots the first week of each month and have 2 courses open. Hills and flats very nice variety.

I think Adam's is the best I've ever shot, out door 3d is open all year, every day. There are some interesting shots. www.adamsarchery.com You can check out some images on thier website.

Paper: West Walker
Dart: Randals Red Arrow
3d: Livingston without a doubt. Lots of hills, different elevation shots, shots across water, etc. Lots of different terrain and habitat variety from wetland to hardwoods to open field.

You guys are great. We'll check out these spots soon. I like S & K for 3D out in Allendale. It is the only outdoor 3D range I'v used. Blendon Pines has a pretty good indoor setup. We usually shoot the video at Archery Unlimited in GR.

I shoot them all there buddy...I SK is also pretty good, especially for a range that doens't host shoots. He keeps his targets in tip top shape...seeing as how he's lucky enough to have the forms. I shoot there for practice from the 'hotshot' stakes. That range also has it all...I did post the high score for the year at the range shooting center 11's from the hot shot stakes. Took home a 318. It was one of those days where no matter what you did the arrow just seemed to find the bullseye.

I should suggest you also check our Grand Valley Sportsman, which is on the main drag there in Allendale. Very nice target bails with great lighting, as well as a max 30 yard 3d course. Not to mention a big screen tv with sportscenter playing. They also offer an elevated platform for indoors. I shoot at AUI every single day...so if you've shot DART recently then you've probably seen me.

I shoot down there simply cause I love the place and that's where I learned to shoot. But I make it up to see Vern at GVS at least once a week.

Country Woods Archery has a great 3D course and a big bowhunters show in June. I dont think it opens up until April or May but you can shoot anyday of the week. Nice big elevated platforms and nice graveled walking paths. I think they have a web site.

None of the above.Best range? The woods- get some judo points & kill stumps, logs, dirt clods & hillsides. Shoot uphill, downhill, thru trees & under limbs, shoot short, long or anything you want & it's free! No time limit, no rushing, crowds and it's a fine way to scout out new haunts for game.
