I'm thinking if changing my line on my noodle rod to yellow fire-line to help see it better on the drift. Do you think that will spook the fish ?

I think so. That is why I use fluorocarbon leader, because it is virtually invisisble underwater. I use Maxima mainline.

my bobber/jig rods are rigged similiar, helps me keep the bow out. as far as bouncing eggs i wouldnt go that route not for spooking fish but its strength. aint nuthin worse than hanging up your mainline and not being able to break it off. i run 8# stren lo-vis green and have no problems.

Here is my .02 two years aga while fishing the Pm i had on the green amnesia and everytime i got close to fish they would spook, my buddy who was using the red amnesia was hooking them left and right. Now from that I will never use a bright green line again for this type of fishing. again just my .02

I use 6lb stren lo-vis green for main, and 5lb maxima for leader, that's my all-around steelhead rig. During winter, I use straight 5lb with a 4lb florocarbon leader, especially on bright sunny days and low water. I'll go down to straight 4lb if I have to during winter. Fall I use straight 8lb, and hook alot of fish.

Boatman502 ,
I rig very simalar to A-S I use either maxima or p-line leaders 5lb or 4lb , with 6lb or 8lb main line , in either low vis green or clear . If you do decide to use fire line main in color , I would not use it when temps are below freezing . Just my 2 cents most guys that I know who have tired super line drift fishin have switched back to mono .
