They're VERY expensive! As much as I like shooting at a life size deer, the $200+ just don't get it. I cringed when I bought the 4x4 Block at $119 (I think).
Just my opinion ..... but hey, you asked!:)
Edit .... on sale at Cabelas for $150-160 (depending on the insert).

They are not worth the money. We have shot in them now for a year and the block or bags are much better!!!

99.9% of my shooting is into bags. No sense in busting a nut trying to get arrows out of a target. We started with the sheets of foam and I'll never work that hard again.
The range we go to has the Reinhart targets, IMHO the best in the industry.

You should skip the deer targets and go with a Dinosaur target, you never know when you might have the opportunity to hunt Dino's.

The moose target is amazing. It's huge, almost life size height, 8 inches thick.

lovve the dino. targets.... real lifelike:lol: . I like to use the 3-d target for shooting different angles and distances from a tree-stand. just keeps your edge imo. and yes it does suck getting the arrows out of them for a while. i got it as a kind of a gift from a friend who said he picked it up from arks surplus for $140 and some change..... i guess that's a good deal. plus i can't stand shooting dots.

If you're gonna spend bid bucks on a lifesize target get a Rhinehart, they hold up the best and the arrows are easy to pull out.

I have a GlenDel and there is a metal post that runs horizontal under the belly, I have hit it a couple times. I wish I had gone with a bag target.

i really like my GlenDel but the freakin legs suck i think im going to glue them on i think! the bar does suck under the block inside.
Like many I have nearly fractured my wrist pulling arrows out of a McKenzie, and although I have heard suggestions about spraying the arrows and target with cooking oil and the like before shooting, it still doesn't come easy. When I picked up a new bow last year that was much faster than my old bow it was even more difficult. I like blocks or bags better much better, depite the fact that I like shooting at life like target.

I don't own a "Glendel" target but have shot into one a few times and I LOVE it. I'm gonna buy one soon since they have come down on price finally.
I didn't know about any "Metal Bar" at the bottom of the target, but I never hit anywhere near the bottom when shooting. I don't think it's a problem if you keep the arrows where you are supposed to (In the Layers).
LOVE how easy the arrows are to pull out. Also, what I love about "Layered" targets, the arrows don't rattle around at impact.

Try taking a stick of wax(baking kind) and rub it up and down your arrows. You should notice a lot of improvement in how easy they pull out, plus there is no added scent from the wax if you are using those arrows for hunting
