This should be moved to the habitat forum; there more knowledgable people than I can assit you.

I for one am too new to this to know which plant types do best with little light. However, I will offer you this: a rule of thumb is that your openings should be atleast half as wide as your tallest tree is high. This will produce 50% sunlight to the plot floor. Also, most all plants will grow better with a little more sunlight then a little less. If you want to maximize your plots potential, cut down some of the taller trees and allow more like to hit the ground.

Remember that in the area where you remove some mature trees, younger trees will start to grow. They will supply an addiditonal food source, good cover , and rubbing material for local bucks.

Good luck!

Yes, this should be moved. But to answer his question, I've had good luck with Buck Forage Oats in the shade.

Some clovers will do good in partial shade. Alot depends on soil type too.
