Has anyone seen, used or had any expirience with this new nock concept?
It is called : "turbo nock"
The nock is actually twisted, to give your arrow more spin.
They claim that a conventially fletched arrow will turn 1 full rotation in 20 feet at 200 fps.
With the turbo nock your arrow will have already spun 2 full revolutions in the first five feet of flight.
Do you really need your arrow to spin at 4800 rpm?

I'v used them on and off for about 3-4 years. They do work and work very well. Like anything there are pros and cons.

Cons...
A little heavier than a traditional fletch...not mucch when you figure you can shave the vain/feather weight and glue AND take an inch or so of shaft off.

A little louder than convetional fletch in flight.

MUST shoot a drop away or a whisker biscuit.

A little different to tune when you set them up

They can eat a serving pretty quick if your not carefull

Pros...
They open spine range significantly for a given draw weight.

They work EXTREMELY well in crosswinds. I've seen them cut wind drift on 35 yard shots from 18" to 10". Plains state hunters where high winds are the norm would be well advised to give them a try.

They're very easy to use...no more glue or clamps...pop one off and pop another on.

If you know what your doing you can get a faster arrow from the same weight.

They do increase long range accuracy IMO. I may get arguments here but I can group a Turbo shaft better than a conventional fletch at 100 yards. I believe it's the crosswind cutting that helps it most though.

They're not expensive...if your curious give them a try. They sell them at Cabela's as well.
