Had a great group of guys out today and after running the Argo through 5km of snow drifts we finally hit GPS spot #1. Had lots of fish moving under us in the morning but the bite was light after the storm. Had everyone running a different colour combo to see what they wanted. It wasn't long when a 5+lb Laker smashed a Gold jigging Rap on 10lb florocarbon and the 1st fish of the day was on the ice. Little while later a Whitie tapped the tube on a Meegs and after a great fight was out of the hole. The sun got high and the action really slowed down so decided to go ultra light. I cracked out a couple of perch ultralight rods/reels with 4lb line and ran a shinner on a Red Gamakatsu hook with a large split shot 18'' up the line. This setup proved its worth during mid-day and got us another nice Laker and +5lb Whitefish. The bit picked up again in the afternoon with a couple of fish taken on the Williams and a Luhr Jensen spoon. The wind really started to pic up with heavy drifting so we decided to pack up and head in. Here is a shot of the group with some of their fish from today.
