I've been useing a rechargeable red lensed spotlight at night for
coyote hunting. the problem I'm having is that the spotlight runs down quickly in the cold weather. is anyone having any better luck out there with spotlights in the cold? I was also thinking about one of those scope mounted lights? any advice would help.
Thanks BulletBob:)

I used a 2 cell maglite taped to my barrel. I replaced the regular bulb with a special $6 bulb. (I cant remember what specific name was)Then I replaced the clear lens with a thin piece of red plastic. The reason I didn't mind taping it is because my barrel is camoed,so I didn't have to worry about the blueing. Where ever you point your gun, you light up that area. Used it all weekend, hasn't dimmed yet. Works like a charm. Granted its no spot light but its functional.
