I bought one of these last spring and LOVE IT !!!

You will not beat the draw cycle of the Oneida. Claude Pollington, as well as Matt & Will) are second to none when it comes to customer service. These guys will work 1 on 1 with you in setting the bow up (if you go to Marion) and/or will work with you over the phone to help.

The "cons" you hear from people have most likely not seen or shot the Oneida since the Pollingtons have taken over. Any noise issue that people remark about is fixable very easily...just like any other bow. The deer I shot last fall didn't care about how "loud the bow is".

I love the oneida bows...they are great in their stock form...they are even better when hot rodded up ....smooth fast and the noise is not bad like some would want you to believe.

I have shot Oneidas since 1992 and nothing else for one reason: They are the best out there.

I might be biased but have shot other brands on and off trying to see if I like anything better than the Oneidas and have found none yet. The Oneida is a smooth draw, no cams to break over. This allows me to stay focused on my aim while hunting.
My Older Oneidas made some noise but I quieted them down quickly with alittle felt and as stated by another, the deer never minded or knew about it.
Oneida impact is second to none, I shoot a 2314 arrow (28 1/2") with 125 grain Muzzy and every time they hit the mark, never had one jump the string on my Oneidas.

The only times I have had any issues with my Oneida to speek of are on 3 occasions and they were my fault.
1. I dropped the bow while climbing a tree and had to readjust the sites, rest and bent the overdraw. No damage to the limbs or cable system and the bow fell roughly 20 feet.
2. While at full draw sitting down I hit my inner leg and the limb had to be realigned, this required removing the string and very simply realigning the cables on the limb by hand. Took maybe 10 minutes to do.
3. Replaced a string after 6 years of hunting with the same bow, I do not recommend this but I did it so I had to have one made locally for it. I live in Southern Illinois and have no dealers near me although I have a shop who can and will work on them with great success.

I just purchased my 3rd Oneida and will be getting a 4th for my son to shoot with. One of my good friends bought an Oneida about 5 years ago and really loved it. He fell into the Mathews hype on speed and bought one, he hunted hard with it this year and by end of season pulled his Oneida out of the closet again. He is afraid to tell his wife he is using the old bow after spending that much money on the new one.

Go with the BE you will not be sorry, the new Oneidas are phenominal and you will find no better service with any company out there think of any company that you can call the owner up directly. Very few companies will this happen with. Oneida owners are loyal and we are a type of family.

Best of luck with you decisions and stop in at the Oniedaeaglesbow.com website. Look into the forums alot of good information can be found there and those guys will tell you 100% good and bad about thier Oneidas.

I now use mine turned and tuned down for bowfishing, they are pretty fast and very loud (fix noted). Now in a Swichback, a very meaningful improvement, ( my opinion) My partner has shot Goldens (3 of them) since day one and just swiched to a Swichback. All the money shooters in the bowfish game seem to shoot Goldens. They are heavy. Shoot them all and do not pinch pennies... the aim is for no dissapointments. Good luck.

I have been shooting my Oneida bow for around 10 years or so. It is an Aeroforce. Before Pollington took over. This is my second Oneida and the only reason I got a new one was for the higher letoff. I am deadly with this bow. Two seasons ago I went and bought a Mathews and all the goodies for it to the tune of around $1000.00. I never felt as comfortable with the new Mathews as with the old reliable Oneida. After I couldn't find the the first deer I shot at with the Mathews it went back into the case and my old Oneida came back out. The next evening I aced a nice fat Tawas doe that didnt go 60 yards. I love the way it shoots and the penetration I get. Also I have added some sound deadening stuff and its not that loud now. Besides, the arrow is through the deer before they move from the noise. Down side - they are heavier than the Mathews but I think that extra weights adds stability, they are longer but I shoot from the sitting position in my tree stand and have shot deer almost directly under my stand with no problems. To each his own but in my opinion I can kill more deer with my old trusty Oneida than ANY hotshot new fangled bow. And after all isnt that the whole idea? To kill deer quickly and cleanly??

Buy what works for you.

I have been shooting Oneida Eagle bows since 1994.
They are the finest hunting bows available anywhere.
The draw cycle on these bows is unequaled.
They are very fast and maintain that speed and energy downrange!

I have been shooting a Black Eagle for several years now and I love it. In my business, I have the opportunity shoot all of the new bows. I have never found a bow that shoots as smooth and flat as the Black Eagle. So many bow companies put way too much effort into marketing the next greatest bow in the world, yet they are really all very similar. The Black Eagle just flat out performs every time in the field. I would also suggest getting the Pollington pro-sight when you get the bow. It makes shooting a breeze and they will set it up for you at the factory.
