Lake Lansing

Can anyone help me out on Lake Lansing tips? I've never been there but it's close to MSU so I thought I'd give it a try. Any reports (ice thickness, catches, hot spots etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't been on Lake Lansing this year cuz I transferred but I fished it last year a couple of times. I found the best fishing was on the northwest shore in front of the apartment buildings. Look for 20 ft of water. Crappie, bluegill, and pike.

Yes, goood spot to fish that northwest corner was out thier about 10 yrs ago and limited out on 12-13 specks, on a warm day about 45 degrees at the end of feb and the fish were about 4 ft under the ice must have been the water running down the holes that got them going.

Heres a tip................... don't fall through the ice that lake is like a huge septic tank full of human waste:yikes: But with that being said there are some muskies on the one side look for the cattails
