Just a heads up, it's about that time of year again where your local conservation district will be mailing their catalog for tree and plant sales. Prices are generally very friendly and most offer a pretty good variety. If you haven't received a copy of your county's offerings in the past you might want to give them a call and see what they offer. In addition to a wide variety of trees, they offer a decent variety of shrubs and fruit trees.

Hey Sib,

I live in Millington which is in the southern end of Tuscola County. How do I find my Conservation District? Is it through the County Office? I'll do some checking on the DNR site to see if I can find more info also. Just thought I would ask.

Thanks.

Big K.

Never mind Sib. I found it. If anyone else is interested, you can find your district here:

Thanks for providing the link Big K. I've had good success with my purchases from the conservation districts. Though the stock can be small, if given a chance (water that critical 1st summer) I've had good results.
