wasted trip today.

Decided to go fishing today. Since Reeds has good ice i thought i would hit a small private lake. On the way I had to stop at a gas station that had one of those "Live Bait" vending machines (since bait shops where closed by me). Stick in the money for some wax worms and out came a cup of rotten moldy waxies:rant: ! so went to Gander Mt with 10 min before closing and got the waxies (out of my way, but i wanted to fish badly).
Got to the lake and found it still had open water around the shore line:(

The Bait machine is a good idea for some remote areas, but this "michigan vending company" has given the machines a bad name in my opinion! I doubt if I will get a refund in the since I didn't last time I had a problem with them.
Anyone else had problems with these guys?

It wasn't the bait shop at the end of 28th St. on the west side was it? (No need to mention names.) I bought some out of there one time & the same thing, rotten bait. The 2nd time I stopped by, I noticed someone desperately wanted bait, and smashed all the glass on the machine & took everything! :dizzy:

No. it was one of those black "Live Bait" machines.it was at US131 & 100th street. I know the bait shop your refering too and they where closed.
