I was out of palmer Rd. on saturday and the ice is only 3 max. 2 in some spots. we could only get out about 100 yrd and only 3ft of water and caught maybe 10 perch under 6 in. in 3 hours.

I fished the turn around this morning the ice was about 4 inches. out 1 mile.
I did see a big open water hole straight out from the kawkawlin river .

Wherever you end up find the "mudline". Where the dirty water meets the clean is where you'll find the nicer Perch. Not to mention any Perch at all ! Good luck, I've not been out for Perch in a week, be hitting the Bay for the eyes this coming weekend.

I have heard that they were getting some eyes at state park 8 foot of water.
but that was a rumor???

I work with guys that live near quanacasee, they heard that guys were going out of thomas rd and getting fish.

I know that there are guys on this site that fish thomas rd area.
maybe some of you could post. please

on mon. I had to go back to work:mad: after being laid off since the begining of dec. so it dont leave me a lot of time to get out and explore.

Hi Skeeter - no, no new one. Rebuilt the old one that went through the wreck. She is just a little uglier, but she is back on line and dependable ! Hope to be hitting the Bay this weekend for a shot at the eyes. Sunday for sure if not saturday. Good luck to you.

Saw quads out from pinconning and cody esty roads today. Some people were out at least a mile at both spots. Not sure how they were doing or ice thickness.

Not totally correct there, bigbob. Take a look at some pics posted by another member fishing off of B.C.S.P. Sounds like plenty of ice and more than a few quads running around. All depends where you go ! Always be safe.

Chuck1, could you please post the link for the picture? I had it last year, lost it, can't find it web searching. I used it to check to see where the open water is. Thanks very much.

i dont know about that, i live off of bay arenac line on the bay and you can see ice as far as you can see through binoculars. also it shows open water down by green's point, wigwam bay area, an that is all ice also.

Let me clarify me previous post. It looks like I will not be on the blackhole this year. Sure there are guys getting out to fishable water in a few spots, but I think that picture sends a pretty clear message. At least clear enough for me.
