Big Whitefish?

Just looking for any reports on Big Whitefish. Anybody doing any good anywhere in this frigid weather?:tdo12:

Went out today, set up the shanty and everything else. Started to fish and broke the reel seat (too cold for the plastic). Came in shortly thereafter. Going at it again tomorrow. Should be 'game on'.

Where is Big whitefish? I just looked at the maps on the DNR site and didn't see anything? and the Big Question is doing any good fishing? and what species?:fish:

Big Whitefish is in Pierson. About 1/2 hour north of G.R.

Went to Big Whitefish for 4 hours today after church. Took the wife, both my kids(11yr. old son Chad, and 7yr. old daughter Leah), and my neighbors. NOT EVEN A BITE!:mad: Went to the right of the public access in 12-20 f.o.w, with 3 shanties spread out. Wind made it rough keeping the shanties still.(time to make some ice anchors at work this week) Moved to the left of the launch to 25 f.o.w., no good either. Moved in to 12 f.o.w., still-no dice. Making lots of ice today. Maybe the fish are scared of the rumbling of the ice.:tdo12: It sure got Leah's attention!:yikes: Any body have any advice for this lake? I've fished it for a few years now, and have never had much luck.:help:
