Today, Saturday the 18th of February, the mailman finally brought me the piece of mail that I have been waiting for. No, it wasn't this month's PlayBoy, it was Ed's new book. I can't wait to finish the work I'm doing so that I can sit down and start reading it tonight.
Ed,
I have that swamp spot, can't wait to read up on some options.
Thanks!
Dave

Ron,
Ed is a huge contributer to this forum. He has years and years worth of experience in the establishing of food plots in nearly all the different enviroments know to Mid West hunters. He's one the those nice guys whos always willing to help a guy get started with advice and provides acurate information.
He just wrote a second book on food ploting that was published by QDM. Because of QDM's involvment, it has taken a very long time for the book to actually be available to the public after Ed had finished it. However, becauce of QDM's involvment, it is also a much better book. Ed's knowledge it the meat of the sandwich, QDM just adds of the little things that made the sandwich great.
Here is a link to oreder this book:

Also, welcome to the site! If you are attempting to improve your hunting through habitat improvements, you have found one heck of a site.

Bob;
How does one go about ordering a book? I will be putting in some deer and turkey plots in the spring so I need as much advice as I can get.
Thanks in advance for the information.

Ron,
You can order the book through the Michigan QDMA web site. WWW.MIQDMA.COM (http://www.MIQDMA.COM) Have fun with the plots, and let us know how things turn out.

Thanks very much. I will let you know how I make out. Right now there are a few turkeys on the farm and I have started feeding them corn and oats in an effort to convince them that they should consider nesting in the area. I have lots of water, gravel, a dense bush with tall trees for roosting in, and plenty of seclusion. The are probably having a hard time right now, because there is about three feet of snow in the bush, and several layers of ice crust. The deer should benefit from the food plots as well. I intend to plant about an acre of the New Zealand deer turnips, and a few acres of seed mixtures designed for deer. I can't wait to get at it.

Ron,
I feel it would only be right to give you fair warning! Once you start with the plots for wildlife, there is no stopping! They become so addicting, you'll soon realize that you've become obsessed with the whole process. It really is a great hobby. The book your looking for will be a huge help, I don't have my copy yet, but I have seen it, and it's great. I do have Ed Spin's first book, which helped me a lot. Have fun, and good luck.

Ed, I ordered 3 books several months ago. Checks were cashed and still no books. Hope to receive them soon.
The books came in the mail today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D
I got my book about a week ago and reading it last night, I notcie that pages 72-89 are missing. Has anyone else noticed the same thing ?? It is probably very isolated but I reported it to the publisher, and will be getting a complete copy. Can't wait for spring to put all the information into practice. Lew
