Anyone know how thick the ice is on Reeds today? I'm hoping its time!

There was about 3" yesterday. I'm going to ckeck it out a little later and post findings. I've got a feeling it'll be good for tomorrow. (With proper precaution of course!)

I stopped by there yesterday with the spud and walked out about 20 yards. Spud went thru with ease everywhere I poked, and that was around 5:00 p.m. on Friday. I would wait till at least Sunday if you do go out. Be extremely cautious if you do.

I just checked it out and there is 4 solid inches of good ice. I went out about 50 - 60 yds. from the launch and it was no different from 10 yds. out. I can only think tomorrow morning will be much better. Go get 'em!!!!!!:woohoo1: :woohoo1:

PS: I should also mention that there were shanties out from the fire dept. as well as one by the island. I think it'll be plenty safe by tomorrow! Oh, bring your cleats/creepers/korkers. It's like a rink out there!

Talked to a guy headed out today, he said it was 3+ wherever he spudded holes, and he went a ways out there. After today and tonight it should be PLENTY safe by sunday afternoon. Like Sid said, bring your creepers, no snow on the ice.

I'll be there all day on Monday, have the day off. PM me if you want to hook up.
