I have seen them at Gander mountain or you can stop at Pilgrims Village. they sell them for 20 dollars. I think home made ones are brighter so if you are mechanically incline you can probably build one cheaper.

Pigtail, lamp cord, and 50W 12V RV bulb -- most hardware and/or home improvement warehouses should have everything.

You could also stop by "The Eyes Have It" in Leroy too, $18.00 for the green underwater light. There's also lots of Hali Jigs to choose from.

1 rechargable 12 volt marine or car battery

1 piece of house wiring the white plastic covered twin wire copper wire

1 vehicle headlight

hook the wire up to the headlight so its on high beam then to the battery and presto your in bussiness works great. Best way is to drill your hole on outside of shack and just float the headlight right in the hole the heat from the light will keep it from freezing in:D

I bought an extra vexilar battery from gander mtn, for like 20 or 30 bucks. Rechargable and long lasting, not to bulky. I think its great........

Anyone know if people have better luck with a white light or green light? I have a green light and only used it once. Seemed to work good.

I use an automotive tail-light socket & dual element bulb(1157?). Secure it to the end of a hardwood stick, connect to a 12v battery and submerge.
