I had a Trophy Ridge Dropzone on my bow and took it off to replace it with a whisker biscuit. I was debating on putting it on my new bow but the nylon cord is too short.

Does anyone have any idea how a new cord can be replaced inside the rest?

Thanks,

Dave

Mooskyhunter,
I did the same thing as you... You can replace the cord... Actually, I called TR and told them the story and they sent me new cord for nothing... Or if you can find a place locally that sells the D loop cord it's basically the same thing. Tear the rest apart and you can see how it's tied in... Nothing to it... You can search over on archerytalk.com if you need pictures... although their site is flakey these days...

Actually I think that they sell a refurbishing kit for about $10 with a spring and bar and I dont really know what else in there, maybe that would help you too. I cant remember if a cord is included. I got rid of my Drop Zone because of problems it developed. But one tip that I have is, if the shrink wrap on the bar wears out in the notch, you can hear it hiss when you draw back, just go to Meijers or any store with an electrical area and shrink wrap tubing is about $1.50 for a whole bag of it!! Cheap fix! Trophy Ridge wanted like $3 for a 2inch piece of the same thing (which ticked me off)

Captain and Mike,

I will make a post a on Archery Talk to see if someone has any pixs. I guess I can go and buy a new kit as well. I like to try and do things myself if I can.

Valid point Mike about the plastic wearing off the arm. I was shooting some carbon Redheads arrows and their rough exterior has worn the plastic right down to the brass arm. I was going to see about replacing that as well.

I went to the local bow shop to buy an new Rack Arrow Holder (a small piece of foam rubber). They wanted $10.00 for that. I guess I will try and peel it off my old bow and glue it on my new one.

Thanks again guys.

Dave
