Haven't heard of any catches there in a few years. This would be very early too. We tried last year on Memorial weekend just for kicks and did a number on the smallies. I don't remeber if we thought it was a couple of weeks too early or too late from when we used to gewt them there. First time we've fished it in probably 4 or 5 years due to lack of anybody catching anything.

You guys are talking about getting the boat ready when it is currently 5 degrees out....ice will be thin this year, but, it will be there until April.
