...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DETROIT/PONTIAC HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. NORTHWEST WIND GUSTS AROUND 50 MPH ARE LIKELY...WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH POSSIBLE...AFTER MIDNIGHT THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. THE STRONG WINDS WILL SUBSIDE EARLY FRIDAY AFTERNOON

Tomorrow:
Showers early then increasing winds with thundershowers later in the day. High 44F. SE winds at 5 to 10 mph, increasing to 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.

Tomorrow night:
Rain and a few thunderstorms likely in the evening ...variable clouds with a few showers still possible late. Storms could contain damaging winds. Low 32F. Winds SW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.

Ed, I couldn't agree more-get all those projects done so come Spring we can get out and get 'em. Looking forward to my new boat.

Could not agree with you more...this has been a bad year for ice already, no reason to prolong it any more....bring on the 40's and 50's and lets get the boats and lines wet!!

Coming home down Lakeshore it was complete Ice in the water....Winds must have blown all the ice from the north end of the lake over to the south....couldn't see any open water from all the ice that was blown in!!

Sorry guys. Ice is on it's way back. Lows near zero this weekend. Won't get above freezing until Wednesday. I gotta get out ice fishing at least one more time!

Right supposed to be cold this weekend, but also windy, winds in the 20MPH range, all the wind means less ice, all the rain and wind means nothing but dirty water for a while, Clinton River is overflowing everywhere so the lake will be nasty and muddy and whatever else gets dumped in there

Any ice left at the Raft or Fairhaven launch ?

well did see a portable out the about 1:30 just north of launch, real close to shore. think im going sunday buy the raft .ice still some what solid there( Maybe). blown in ice out just past dnr launch.that was about 3:30 4:00 dont know what shape ice is after that. Trying Sunday even if i need to bring dingy from boat. Days are numbered.

I think they were slightly off on that amount predicted add about 2 inches more to that amount and thats what we got.Were going to get ice again probaly for a couple of more weeks in places but I highly doubts its going to salvage any ince fishing season for us this year.Bring on spring and softwater walleyes.
