There is ice, was out about 300 or so yards on about 3". Water is very dirty, only got a couple of dinks, but did see some nicer perch. Was fishing jenson eggs and wished I had some minnows with me!!!! Also, the bigger perch swam through like their tails were on fire, probably some pike or muskys in the area, so if you are interested in pike, bring your tip ups.....

Joeker51, maybe by next weekend, my shanty and spear are doing the same thing. With the cold temps and such for the upcoming week, we should be all set for the last 2 weeks of the season.....
Shane,,,, I've been around, and I still have a phone!!!!! Nobody likes to call me anymore.....

Ah........the smell of the skunk wafts lightly over the ice of anchor bay. Can we say lockjaw. :( Set the shanty up over towards old Bud's for about an hour. Zip -zilch-notta. Not a fish to be seen. Gimme a break here........not even a dink.:bloos: From that point on it was hole hopping. Still nutin .
Packed it in about 4:30. Damn spear is still crying! Water clarity was a little murkey. Ice ran anywhere from 2 to 4 ". Counted roughly 30 shanties between Fairhaven launch and the Raft. Did a drive by on the way home. Forget Brandenburg - no ice. Captains Cove looked shakey. Selfridge looked shakey but if the weather sticks around we've got a small prayer there. 3 shanties in the canal there also. IFN is right will be great ice by next weekend. Now if the :fish: co-operate we got something rollin.;)
Whoops......almost forgot. Watch the left side going out at Fairhaven Launch. It was a tad loose coming in.
