I've been looking around for anyplace that rents equipment for establishing and maintenance of food plots that can be pulled behind an ATV.(disker and deck mower being the highest priorities) Detroit area or Hillsdale county would be perfect but, despiration has set in so, anywhere in southern michigan would be helpful

Thanks

Steve

Gander Mountain in Flint rents one of those "all-in-one" "plotmasters". It is designed to tow behind an ATV and will cultivate and plant in one pass. I don't know if it is available at other Gander Mountains or not.

Hope that helps

I know it's a bit of a drive from Redford, but last time I was in Romeo Rent All (M-53 & 32 Mile), they had just gotten in a new disk and cultivator to pull behind an ATV that they were going to rent out.

Roober,

Consider using an ATV tank sprayer for all your food plot needs. These are all pictures of various plantings from SW WI to the U.P. of Michigan that were planted in the late summer with only the aid of multiple chemical sprayings and no ground-breaking equipment. In fact, on one plot only a cultipacker was used, on another only a light-toother drag behind an ATV, and on another nothing at all was used. All seed and fertalizer was broadcasted by hand on up to 2 acre plots.

You can kill your plot 3 times starting in late April/early May, wait at least 4 weeks in-between sprayings, and plant in early August to mid-Sept. depending on location and seed variety, with nothing more than an expected rain storm or a light drag. It's very easy and about $55 will get you enough chemicals to kill 5 acres.
