We need NO WIND for a day or two. With temps in low 20's. If the wind keeps blowing all we'll have is canal ice and maybe a little bit at the Raft.

I would say a 1st ice bite in the next 3-4 days but I don't think the fish know what's going on right now so we'll just have to see how it pans out...

I hate to be negative, but I don't believe the lake will see any ice this year. The days are getting longer and the daytime high's are still projected to be around 32 the rest of the weekend. The weekend forecast is frigid but then it is supposed to warm up again. So.......it appears that there will be more perch to harvest in the FALL!:)

I don't know about that Steve. I guess it would depend on what we want to call "the lake". The main body of water will not ice up and it probably is to late for the large portion of Anchor Bay to ice over. But, there should be walkable ice in the smaller bays of the lake, especially the small bays off the sides of Anchor Bay.

The days are getting longer and the sun is higher in the southern sky. So, the ice days are numbered and open water fishing is not that far off, especially this year.
