Can anyone recommend certain brassicas as taller varieties that might work better in deep snow areas? I realize growth will vary with the soil and the moisture.

I use shotplot and have had good results. Even if the snow covers it the deer seem to dig it up. I have not found any better winter time food plot , then brassica.

I have used antler king, maximum, stragith purple top, and straight dwarf essex rape. This is year I have a bag of shotplot and leftover seed from the above. I was just wondering if anyone can point to one specific plant as the tastiest or the the tallest to stand up in heavy snow areas. So far not a heavy snow area this winter.
Does brassica ever get tall enough to be cover for late summer and fall? I remember a picture of some from Quebec that was well over waist high.

I've had some late summer tyfon turnip plants get almost waist high by the time it became palatable.
Try a spring planting of Barnopoli rape. It will get at least head high under the right growing conditions. I have a hard time getting in a spring planting of anything so I've only planted Barnopoli rape once. I didn't take any pictures of it.
