View Full Version : Genesis Bow
Have any of you saw the new Geneses bow that Mathews came out with? If you haven't you can check it out at www.genesisbow.com I was wondering if any of you know how they can get rid of the letoff and make it so that it will fit that range of draw lenghts without changing anything, while staying a single cam. This has me stumped, if anyone could help to explain this I'd really appreciate it!
Moe,
I just joined a club and last week they talked about getting some youth bows and the genesis is one of the bows they talked about getting. I think it is because you can set it at one wt. and no matter what your draw length is it stays the same draw wt., which allows many different people to shoot the same bow. So if there is 5 kids that want to shoot a compound bow and you only have 2 compounds this will allow them to all use it providing they draw about the same wt. As for how they do it, no idea. But we are getting two of them for the kids to use.

The March 2002 Peterson Hunting magazine has a write up about this bow. Instead of the usual 4.5 stars they give this bow a full 5 stars. According to the article the bow never breaks over into a valley like a compound. There's another article in the same issue about getting kids into archery and it has a picture with a few of the Genesis bows.
My son turns 7 this spring so this is one of the bows I will be looking at for him.

It looks like I great bow, I just read the Peterson's Bowhunting review and I'm sold! I will be buying one for my 5 1/2 year old son this month!
The Genesis bow is great
I have three daughters from 16 to 8 and they all can shoot the same bow even adults can shoot the bow and its not like shooting one of those cheap kids bows that wont even penetrate a target this thing actually sends a small arrow pretty good.
I dont want to get slamed for advertising since I sell them. But go to your local pro shop and shoot one they are an awsome way to get youths or woman into archery
if you need more info send me a pm or e-mail me

I took my 5 1/2 year old son Bow shopping Sunday. I looked at the Genisis, way to big and heavy for him. We ended up buying a PSE Spyder, we pick it up tonight!
