hi i have on coon ppblem on my land and i wos wondering if you could tell me some good bait to put in my live trap Thanks Alex

some canned tuna and or cat or dog food, thats what i use.

A rag soaked in bacon fat always cleaned out the barn and out buildings for us.

If there are dogs or cats around you might want to go with something else. Like anise, mollasses, marshmallow, corn, etc..

its a live trap, they wont get hurt. i caught my moms cat once, that cat never went in there again!

I'd go with the sweet baits unless you also want to catch skunk and possum.
I let my kids make my coon bait on a paper plate, which I then put in the live trap, behind the pan. They will come up with all sorts of goofy stuff, which never fails to work, fast. They just use up old, stale marshmallows, candy, candy sprinkles, gum, etc.

Sometimes you have to cover the sides, back and top of the cage, cause they'll try and reach in for the bait, with their front feet. Coon are like billy goats, they'll eat just about anything:lol:
