Going to a new lake....Were would you look for the gills? Flats 5' deep? 5'-10' drops? 10'-20' drops? Deeper? Any thoughts!

all of those depths work. Focus on isolated weedbeds and drops. Check maps and watch other fishermen.

I don't care for dropoffs, but prefer to find the flats with green
weeds growing.
10 ft is my preference when I can find the above.

Thanks guys. This lake is pretty big and produces master angler gills annually. I hope there the ice sticks around.

The lake I have been fishing, non-stop action on the small fish in 15 fow or less. Once I get out into 22 fow or more there are alot more big fish.

Each lake is diffrent do some searching until you find what works for you!!

I'd start off in the wed beds cuz thats where the food hangs out. I have never fished gills anywhere but LSC I have to get out and try some new lakes if you's ever need help teaching them fish a lesson hollar  I'm more than willing this year.
