I live in mid-mich, just north of Lansing in Saint Johns. I checked out a few lakes near me and here is the 'ol ice report if anyone was wondering...
Lake Ovid/Sleepy Hollow - Has give/take 4" of ice. Could be fished.
Muskrat Lake - Ice is *problably* good enough to fish on if you could get on it. The boat launch ice is thinner, I was able to stand on it but broke through when I jumped a little. (Was only in ankle deep, don't worry) Hopefully it will be good to go soon.
Private Pond - Good ice. 4-5 inches. If it matters to anyone.
Crystal Lake - Didn't actually go there, but they have good thick ice.
Hope that helps someone!
