Not the biggest or the most but still felt good being on the ice. The ice wasn't actually too bad, we crossed a couple of feet of open water with a ladder but once on the ice there was 3-4". I saw alot of jumbos on the camera but they were feeding hard right on the bottom, straight up and down rooting for something, wigglers maybe? A frostee jig tipped with a wiggler did the most damage and then a small perch jigging rap and minnow took a couple. We've been doing good for walleye on the same pond but I left before that bite started. Sorry about the pic, it's from a camera phone.

Glad to see someone in SE Michigan is still ice fishing....I've got to go up north this weekend to get in on some action!

Nice report. I've watched Perch on my underwater camera in Saginaw Bay doing that "headstand" feeding routine. Must be the invertabrates (sp?) they're rooting up. Watched a school of nice sized Perch swim along, suddenly stopped over a patch of sand and all of them stood on their head and started to "mouth" into the sand. Stirred it up pretty good, lasted about 45 seconds or so and then they moved on several feet and repeated the action. Very neat to watch on the camera. Water was crystal clear, visibility on the camera had to be a solid 40 feet or better, water was about four feet deep. Very cool. :) :fish2:

I've seen this happen on a number of occasions. Sometimes you'll find wigglers
in them but a lot of times they'll be full of 1" long baby crayfish.
Crayfish----hint about jig color when you see this happening. In other words,
baby crayfish tend to be light orange or light brown in color.
