Loon Lake-Hale

Just wondering if anyone has info on Loon Lake. What kind of fish, what is the best fishery in the lake and how is the Pike fishing? Does anyone spear out there? I recently inquired some property on the lake and am thinking of trying it out. Thanks for the help....

I live just down the street. I have iced fished it a couple of times and came home empty handed, but i have fished it during the spring and had fun. I hear tales of some really nice walleye in there along with pike. It is filled with fish, i just haven't fished it enough to find them, i prefer long lake i fish it quite a bit, but if you do fish the loon lake then fish over by the camp, in that bay where the boat launch is from 65, that bank to the right has a major hole all along that bank, i hear a lot of people of pulling nice fish out if there.

How is the ice on Loon and Long? I usually fish Long without much luck. I have a little better luck in the summer though. I am going to try Loon maybe next weekend. Does anyone rent shanties on Loon?
