My dad and I fished downstrean from Vets for 1.5 hrs. and managed 1 throw back,and had a few good size eyes hit. Talked to 1 other boat and they didn't do anything. Good luck to all in the contest, I'll sure need it.

Did you see anybody fishing from shore out there? I want to go out this weekend but thats about the only way I'm going to be able to go.

Grizz, I'm sure I seen ya out there this eve. I drove down there to see the launch conditions. Sounds like its going to be a buisy wkend. Going over some strategy tonite. . . . .

As for the shore fishing Q: always carry a pole and a little tackle with me. So I casted a few times with no bumps. Seen 2 others shore fisherman but have no idea how they did.
