which one would you buy or already have?

ive had a hummingbird portable lcr. eagle ID. fishingbuddy, and now have a Vexilar. fishingbuddy was helpful would give up fishtrap and lazer and fish outside with a spud before i'd give up the vex.
any sonar would be best, my opinion. gl keep your stick on the ice

i own a vexilar and you can have all my fishing stuff but not my vex, i could catch fish with a stick and rope as long as i had my vex;):):corkysm55:xzicon_sm

I also agree, I would rather go out on the ice in my socks then without my vex.

I'm going to investigate Lowrance M68c/map ice machine. I'm not putting any one of them down.They all probably has there own unique qualities.:)

I drove 70 miles away from home before I realized I had forgotten my Vex....the 70 mile drive back to get it put me behind schedule but I still caught almost 3 times the fish everyone else did that day even after I was late.

i love my vexilar. i just bought a marcum lx-3 so im going compare the two. im sure they both will work great.:fish2:

Bought a Marcum LX-2 to replace the old "Green Box" that died awhile back and served faithfully for over 30 years. Used a portable Eagle LCR last year and it wasn't all that bad of viewing/interperating, just had to mount the transducer on an old tip-up frame (a hassle). The new technology on all of them is so superior in comparison that any of them would be a good choice.

I've only used it once so far this year, but I love my LX3!

I've never used, but have witnessed both the FL8 and 18. Depending on what you need or how much you can afford, you can't go wrong with any of those. A lot of Ford vs. Chevy kind of stuff!

I have a LX-3 and got it upgraded to the true color display version..I love this thing, and will not fish without it. When I was up north last month I walked out to our shanty which is about a 15 minute walk out there in snow, I realized I forgot my lx-3 in the cabin, but I thought to myself my brother inlaw probably brought it out with him, but when I asked him he's like no I didnt get it...I didn't even hesitate I went back and got it, wasted half an hour but outfished him 5:1 :lol: I'm sure the vexilar is a great machine but from what I've seen the Marcum has better features for the money...thats my 2 cents.
