I'm going to be in Flint on Saturday. Never fished that area before, but open to trying a new lake. Anyone have any suggestions, or heard any reports for the Flint/ Fenton area?
Thanks for the help.

Try the Holloway Resevoir. Never fished it but I know it has stocked walleye. Also has legendary crappie and pike. Its just NE of Flint.

I'll agree that Holloway is very hit and miss. Lots of fish, but very hard to catch anything. Another option in your area is Lake Nepessing in Lapeer. It's got everything walleye, perch, bluegill, pike, and even muskie. It's about 20 min. east of Flint.

Check S. Gen. Co Ice Report post, all these lakes should have safe ice by Saturday. They are from 15 to 20 min S of Flint. You can cut straight across from here to go home also.

Ditto on the" don't bother with Hollaway" responses. I fished it 4 times last winter and never got a bite. If there is somebody out there that has sucess on Hollaway in the winter I'd sure like to hear about it.

Thanks for the suggestions....
Looks like I may NOT be going to Flint after all, due to schedule changes. However, IF I end up going, I think I'll try Fenton. If so, I'll post results.
Thanks again!
