Hamburg area

Fished a small pond in the Hamburg area 1-1-02. 2" of ice. We got 18 slab Gills and 2 nice Perch. All on waxworms, color of jig didn't matter much, bites were scattered. Took us about 4 hours to get'em.

Ore lake had skim ice and most of the other lakes in the area did not have safe ice, from what we were told by a local who was fishing the same pond.

Great weather to be outdoors! should only get better with more choices soon.

Got 14, nice hand size 'gills, and 2 perch, about 8in. Small lake in chelsea with almost 4in of ice. Caught fish on wigglers and waxworms, in 7ft. of water. No bites on minnows. 1-2-02.

The reality is Dave caught most of our fish. I only got about 5, But 1 was a 10" perch. I got it in the first 5 minutes, then didn't catch another for on hour.

But I felt good for Dave, because I usually outfish him!

We should get together this sunday, on the Ice if your game.

Hey knockoff. I want some perch so bad . I would really like to try metro beach. Sounds like we could get some of those nice perch that i just can't seem to find too many of. Seems like they start early out there. I'm willing to try anywhere though. Maybe it's just me, but the perch bite in the Washtenaw co. area is not easy to come by. I've got a lot of lakes left to try though. Anybody have info. for kent lk. ice conditions, or report?

Probably not game for a big trip this week. But I can probably get out for a short trip somewhere. Let me know if that works for you.
