I promised a report,so here's the ugly and the bad...with a glimmer of good.

We started fishing about 9 am from Wickes. We found the water high and muddy. We hit every hole and run we could know from Wickes to 675 with a couple of bumps, but no takers.By noon we we're pretty much frozen,so decided to pull into Hooters for lunch:evil:

After lunch we thought we go a new direction and headed up the Titt. The water was less muddy than the Saginaw, but still couldn't find anything but a sheephead.
We ran the Titt back down to Wickes, where we began to mark a whole lot of fish, so many in fact we though the transducer was malfuctioning, but after a few runs over the same spot we decided it wasn't a malfunction, just a couple of stacked holes! Could we get anything out of them....oh no!But there ARE some good numbers of fish there.
I would guess if we don't get anymore precip over the next couple of days the fish should be able to get the mud out of their eyes and it should start to turn on pretty good.
Lot's of boats in the morning, but most threw in the towel by noon:gaga:

Give it a couple days and it should be good:)

3 of us fished by the indepence bridge in bay city tonight. Watched 1 legal fish boated. In our boat I had a good size fish on and missed 2 others, last Thurs. a friend and I kept 7 eyes and thru back about 15 with all the ones we kept being about 16". I will be back out tomorrow, and give a report. By the way the water is clearing up..

This is going to sound weird to some, but the river in general is usually always clearer in Bay City than it is in the immediate Saginaw area. The farther downstream the water flows, the more the mud settles out from the Cass, Shiawassee and Flint, the three biggest offenders. The only muddy connecting stream we have thats close to us in Bay City, is the Chebogening Creek just above the James Clements Airport. And that only flows hard a couple days after a rain or thaw and then goes stagnant for the most part.
