Does anyone know if they are catching any perch on Muskegon? Obviously from Boats!

If not Muskegon, anywhere else I can catch some filets this weekend? Boat or Ice, I don't care!

I don't understand Dutchman. You should be able to participate without offense.

I was just being sarcastic about the over zealous moderators. Check out the "closed Fremont lake threads.;) :p

Good luck on the search for perch. A nice mess of fillets sounds great.

Try the deep water at the west end of White Lake. Mousies, spikes, and minnows.

I would try 12 fow (fish weed line) on the north shore where Snug Harbor opens into the main lake..but that's just me.;)

Ok, maybe I've been under a rock...

What is up with the Fremont/moderator references? Is it NOT ok to post where the fish are biting?!

You are fine Icedperch.

Last year a Fremont lake thread was closed and some members have not been able to get past it and move on. Dutchman complains about the moderation every chance he gets on this board, and played a major role in getting the second one started and shut down. He has even let it spill over into other forums and threads, mentioning it and Highlighting the word Fremont every chance he gets to make his point. If I was that disgruntled I would close my account and never return, but we are not so lucky with this one.

Thanks, Steinfishki.

I need to shake your hand at Port Sheldon launch some day. We've been there at the same time a few times already last year.

Speaking of Port Sheldon, I saw the post about open water there. Anyone fishing Perch there???

Not disgruntled at all. Really enjoy my time on this site. I find it very informative. Sometimes it just need a little 'BOOST";) :grouphug:

Not to be argumentative or slam anyone, but your little "BOOST" comes off as a direct slam on the unpaid volunteer moderators of this fine site. The dead horse is still getting a good flogging:bash: ...at some point, I would imagine the flogger's arm would get tired, but he must have stolen a canful of Popeye's spinach:lol: If you have personal issue with the moderators, maybe you shouold send them a PM, otherwise I don't think that challenging them impresses anyone.

Well, back to the Perch.

We went out of Muskegon sunday morning. we tried just south of the breakwaters, just east of bear lake channel and west of bear lake channel.

Not a thing, but the wind was blowing hard enough to make drifting too fast and anchoring really difficult.

I guess we are going to need to start trolling for walleye. everybody else was.
Don't know if they were doing any good.
