As far as killing the thread? What does the long thread hurt? If someone follows it, they don't need to "scan" through the whole thread. If they feel the need to "scan", more power to them. For your info. "not that this is any of your business", I didn't close the thread. I probably should have and would have but someone else got to it first. Second who needs to ask your permission to keep a thread open?. This site is about sharing information and enjoyment. It's not about a few people in a click or what ever you call it chatting for months on end. I can recommend some MSN chat lines or a good cell phone company to get some good tex messaging in if you like. this site is viewed by 1000' s of people not just the ones you can walk to.

Ok Long thread's do go on and on. Its great if it is productive. When 6 or so, guys rehash the same stuff over and over, Its a chat line. Hear is a clue the if the thread is about you & 6 guys. Join a chat line. They will think your cool. As far as starting a new thread YPPPIE. What do you think this is the Det. News and you have freedom of speech. WoW here is the kicker that burns me up. I enjoy the site Just Like You. (YOUR QUOTE) moderators supposed to just be interested in just content. LAMO. It is a pain in the back side at times. I am only here for one reason, I enjoy the site and don't want to see is get stale or go bad. That is the only reason I accepted to become a moderator! What the heck do you think, you get paid for doing this? NO. If you were helping to run a site you would want it to be as fresh and full of good, interesting information as possible. This is only an attempt to make the "Click" realize this site is bigger than your back yard. It's not a live chat line. like MSN or Yahoo. People jump on this line find and share good information and want to stick around. I don't think a majority want to join the Fremont click. That is why your thread gets closed. Don't get me wrong. If you thread has fresh interesting information, keep it going when it gets stale and go's back in forth between a few guys for a few months. Well that is not what this site is about.

To SWF or whoever wants to start a Negative thread about me as a moderator. Feel free. We'll see how far it go's. I enjoy reading your posts , beleive it or not - I'd rather not see you get any black marks or get banned , cripes I was just kidding with you. As far as myself , I have never gotten a warning for anything , and myself - like you would just as well keep it like that.
The smilies are here because Steve decided that they are a nice feature to help each other express themselves.
A few of us that are in your accused "clique`" do really enjoy it (the site).
I don't feel that we 'beat it up' , we share information and invite others to participate in what we're doing , One of the guys I fish with has told me a few stories about Erie , LSC and the Bay... but I like to stay close to home (within 100 miles or so).....
I'd like to say to you RELAX. I know Mike closed the original thread , and I'm OK with it. Tonite while you were away about half the posts that were made here were from east-siders that may never fish Fremont ,but are welcome to anyways. Yet some of them had an enjoyable time PARTICIPATING in the thread. YaKnow , my email addy is up there , in case you want to b!tch me out personally for something I've done that you didn't like and I do use my PM box regularly - (I'm not sure if Mods , SuperMods or just the Admin have access to view the PM boxes)
And I use my email quite a bit - soo much information that others wish to NOT send thru the site.
I'm guessing that Dutch kinda chapped your 'donkey' with his comments - but the ones I made surely weren't supposed to upset you.
Unless I've missed something here - this IS a message board Ed. I don't see a long list of stipulations in the user agreement about what does or does NOT constitute a message , but I have never had Steve personally tell me that I'm doing something wrong or not up to his expectations. I have no intentions of talking smack about you - OR Mike either... If you're getting complaints - then WHY haven't you fired an email to me?
I did the Mod thing (another site) & I don't do it now , because of the time and the constitution required. WHAT can I personally do to help YOU out??
