I've been trying to look into this to get an answer for anyone that's interested. I'm not a 100% sure, but for the most part I've been told that the class is a 100 bucks. Can you verify this BPSDoug?

I was at the pro shop yesterday and yes it a $100 clams.. I would think most would not need to take the class, just go out with some one from this site and save your self $100 clams but dam they brought in two of my favorite guys to to do the class..
I still wont go but if I was this would be the one, I would rather fish against them and see how I do.. Cya Slick

Fisheater,
Sorry for the delay in a response to your question. I got hit with the flu bug and never made it to a computer for two days.
The fee for the class is $100.00
Let me share a story:
Years ago when I fished every bass tournament that I could find, I just couldn't do anything wrong. It may not have been 1st place but it was a check that I won almost every tournament. Life was great, I won the State Fish-off for Michigan B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation and finished the year off with an extra $25,000 in tournament winnings.
I put the bass boat away for the winter and dreamed about going "National". The short of the next season story was that I stunk it up so bad that if there were 100 people in the tournament, I finished 110! Everything fell apart. I tried new line, new techniques, new presentation, slower, faster, I tried everything that I could read about. I STUNK BIG TIME!
I then remembered what my Martial Arts Instructor told me after I won my first three kick boxing compititions, I was floating on top of the world and I didn't want to hear about some so-called "flaws" in my style of fighting. He told me that he had forgotten more than I will ever learn! To be short, he proved that he was right by kicking my rear end BIG TIME!
With the Martial Arts lesson still in my mind, I decided to register for "The Bassmasters University". I drove all the way to Dayton, Ohio to learn again and it did work!
I taped the entire class and whenever I stumble, I listen to the tapes. My worst enemy is myself! Whenever I think I know everything, I fall big time.
The moral of the story: We all forget and we all need to be reminded. I think everyone would rather catch limits of fish vs. beating our heads and asking why don't these stinking fish want to cooperate.
Sorry for the long story, but I think it's all about educating as many as we can.

There's no crime in not catching limits. I think it's kinda fun to try and figure things out on your own.
That said, I have a buddy who went to one of the BPS walleye seminars last year and said it was really informative. Hit Erie on June 1st and the harnesses he tied in the class outfished the store bought ones in my arsenal...
