I use to live off of Proud Lake but haven't been back in those woods for awhile. Does anyone do any small game hunting over there. I live an hour away now but it is still close to my parents.....thought about walking it.

Back in the day I use to see squir and rab and tons of deer but then again I was going 40 mph on a three wheeler so I surprised a lot of stuff. The area has changed a lot. Just wondered what I could expect.

Maybe I'll get lucky and find the burried cooler we use to hide our beer in. Kinda a funny story, we had to hide it 3 times. Hunters kept finding it and taking all our goodies. That wasn't a real surprise. Funny that they never even got a 6 pack of the same beer. It was usually a beer from one dad's basement, a beer of a diff kind from another. 1/8 full bottles of rum, 1/8 bottles of something else. What a jack pot eh...think someone actually drank off of a strangers kiddie?

Dude, it's in the 'burbs now...and severely overhunted. I'm sure that an hour away has better hunting...as long as it's an hour west or north....

Hes right, I live near it and it gets hammered. I walked through there this fall and counted around 12 tree stands on about 20 acres. Always someone walking through there small game hunting too. If you're just walking to walk, go for it. If you're looking to see something, I'd try somewhere a little more north. Good luck!
