I am in the market for a new spotting scope and came across one made by Barska optics. I was wondering if anyone has used any of their products and could give me some feedback. The one I am looking at is the 20-60x60mm and I have found it as cheap as $100. Thanks,

Comparable to Tasco and low line Bushnell or low line Simmons products. Can't expect too much from a $100 spotting scope. One thing to consider, the usefulness of anything above 40x is severely limited and 60x will be barely useable in anything other than absolute perfect conditions. I'd look into something with a more useable power range like 15x-45x with at minimum a 60mm objective.

Haven't used the scope in question, but am familiar with Barska. Barska is a low end optic company that private labels for a lot of companies. They've been around for a while, but fairly new at marketing the Barska name.

If I had to rate them, I'd put them about, or just below Simmons. Not trying to bash them, just know that it's one of the more economical optics arounds.

I have a Barska 4x32 and am not real happy with it. The scope is always needing to be sighted in. Also the cross hairs are a bit thick and they are not smooth lines. I will not be using it next season. Also, I'll say I'm just looking for plain 'ol functional equipment. I'm not into fancy custom guns. And I still don't like the Barska scope I have.

Sorry. I just noticed you were asking about spotting scopes. Mine is on a .22. But maybe it's some useful insight anyways.
