newbie....need fishing partners

hello all you advid sportmen...i am new to ice fishing and need all the suggestions and help i can get. i am 51, retired, and can fish almost any time or day, looking for new freinds to hook up with to show me the ropes. i have most of the gear i should need...scout camera, vexilar fl8 sonar, and a 4 man shappell shanty. i just need a few good men to play on hard water with. i live in the clio area, so i can travel north to sag. river or bay or south to st clair, or any small inland lake inbetween., leave me a note if you need a fishing bud for the day

Welcome! Browse the icefishing forums. There will be numerous outings this winter. I know of one on Houghton Lake on 1/7 and one on Lake Fenton I believe is on 1/14 or 1/14. There will be many of M-S.com members up on Houghton Lake for Tip-Up-Town which is the last two weekends of January. MLK weekend is a three day'er for many so I'm sure there will be more than a few posts about going out that weekend as well.

Welcome to the site! I'm on the other side of the state, but as mentioned there are a number of guys over your way. There will be a MAJOR outing on WhiteLake (Whitehall & Montague) Feb 4th ... it is a haul for you ... but gaurenteed great time, great company, great food and probably some not so great stories. :lol:
