Does anyone use the dual iceducer for 9 and 19 degree cones. Direct from Vexilar they are $110. I just wondered if they were worth it to help eliminate the dead zones on drop offs ect...
Thanks

Just go with a 9 degree, you can run your gain lower and also works much better in the weeds. I have used all three the 9,12,19 and always grab the 9 degree. Who cares whats going on way out to the side, I want to know whats happening by my hook and how the fish react to my jigging.

I have the ultra pack FL18 with the 9/19 and nine out of ten times I use the 9 degree setting. Just far more sensitive in the 9 degree setting.
I was fishing a lake yesterday in 15 foot of water, mostly clear bottom and still used the 9 degree setting. Just picked up the eyes cruising in to look at my bait better. Don't care to see the ones just cruising by not interested.

I personally use the 19 degree about 90% of the time. Usually fish deep water 20 feet plus. At 30 feet you see about 10 feet dia. which I want to no if anything is near by. Then make any adjustment to my presentation of my lure. Like slowing down on my lift of a spoon. If on a ledge I'll use the 9 degree.

I also use 9 degree probably 90 percent of the time when fishing gills.
Deep water crappies I'm more likely to switch to 19 so I can see what depth most of the fish are cruising around me.

I use the 19 most often. I switch to the 9 when needed.

I use the 19 degree most of the time. When I'm fishing with two rods, I put the transducer in the hole that has the dead stick rod and turn up the gain enough so my jigging rod will also show up when it's moving. That way I know which rod has something interested in it.

:yeahthat:
I also use the 19 more often. It sort of acts like the s cable, signals seem to be weaker when looking at my lure.
