I just got an fl8-se and am thinking on getting a s-cable for shallow water fishing, anybody else use one, also how much do they cost? Thanks in advance. I may head to Cabelas this weekend for a few things, if the s-cable is worthwhile I will get one there.....

Get it for shallowfishing. I dont believe Cabelas has them. 30 Bucks from www.thornebros.com (http://www.thornebros.com) or 18 bucks from Vexialr direct.

When talking about Shallow water, what are we talking about? 10 or under? 15 or under 30 or under. I am wondering also? If the cable is around $20 its not the exspence just when would it be used.

i have the FL18, so i don't use the S-cable, but i have a tendency of using the low power setting for water around 8' or less. just seems that the readings are a little less saturated.

Are these cables useable on all flashers???? I have a Gander Mtn GSX (marcum) , and fish in alot of shallow waters 40' or less... this would be a good thing for me ...

I have one and use it in 15ft or less it works well i think you will need it if you fish in less than 20 ft. :fish: :fish:
