Looking for ice fishing equipment portable shanty,fish finder, & auger.... looking to get into sport trying to save money?

You forgot to fill in your profile so we do not know what part of the state you are from, or if you are even in Michigan. Our club has a swap and shop once or twice a year but it is in the Detroit area. I am pretty sure that fishing clubs in other parts of the states might have something similar.

The club is the Lake St. Clair Walleye Association. We usually have a swap in March or April and sometimes one in October. Sometimes there is a lot of stuff being brought in by members and sometimes next to nothing.

Over the years I have seen a lot of ice rods, spuds, hand augers and a power auger. There have been boxes of ice jigs and other ice fishing lures plus accessories. But, I have not seen a shanty yet.

Ask around and see if there is a club in your area. They could easily have similar events. Even possible for ice fishing stuff to show up at swaps held by hunting or gun clubs.

West michigan Walleye Club will be having a swap meet in January. Chreck out the web site for information @ www.wmwc.net.

I got an old 8'x8' fold out clam with 6 holes if your interested. Im only in ravenna, you can shoot me a pm and ill get you directions to come look at it. also theres alot of augers going cheap on ebay right now, with this weather, you got time to wait for shipping.:yikes: :smile-mad

Over on the Walleye Association web page there is a link to some classified ads. Only two there but one of them is for some ice equipment and one of the items is a power auger. Another item is a hand auger.

I talked to him this morning and he said that he sold a bunch of stuff last week and updated the list. All the items except for the sled were still available.
